Here is our story.

ORWW launched our product line in 2010 and have been expanding our collection ever since… Here is a little bit about us – a small, reliable, family run outdoor furniture company in a big city.

2010 Our line was designed by Karren Andreychuk, a woman feeling cheated and frustrated with the options available for outdoor furniture. She bought from the big box stores again and again, replacing her furniture about every two years. She decided to bite the bullet and spend more money on a higher-quality product but sadly it was not the solution she was looking for… she spent good money on “luxury” furniture and was cheated again when there were issues, and little to no customer service. So, she did what any entrepreneur would, and created her own line.

2012 The furniture collection was made of individual sections giving you the ability to build a set that would fit any space, and any budget. Made of an acrylic resin designed to expand and contract with changes in temperature that prevented fading, peeling, and cracking in the furniture. This made the collection perfect for a city like Edmonton. We all still have our sets from 10 years ago when the line was first started – with only two resin finishes available, a mocha brown and an espresso black as well as 5 different colors of poly-blend outdoor cushions.

2014 We introduced Sunbrella fabric to our line, a material with a 3-year warranty against fading, mildew, and mold. The absolute best option for any outdoor cushions, this was a game changer for ORWW and its collection. Still carrying the option of two different resin finishes, and 5 different Sunbrella fabrics the product flew off the shelves and the product was beginning to make a real name for itself in the outdoor furniture industry.

2016 We had done very well with the Espresso and Mocha resin finishes, but it was time to bring in a third alternative. We brought in a grey rattan called driftwood a beautiful thick weave blend of grey and taupe that made the rattan easy to match with any Sunbrella fabrics. To no one’s surprise, it has become our best-selling rattan to date. We also introduced a 45-degree corner option to allow for better pairing with round coffee or fire tables, and created more seating space. This was the year we expanded our lineup by introducing some leaders in the industry like Ratana, Ebel, Woodard, and NorthCape to our showroom.

2018 One of the biggest advances we made in 2018 was upgrading to reticulated foam cushion. Reticulated foam is one step above most outdoor foams and made from the same material as a pool noodle, the fun durable floaty that your family has so much fun in the water with. Reticulated foam has open cells to allow for immediate draining of water preventing any liquids from pooling inside your cushion. We also made some structural changes in 2018 like, increasing the seating height (known as deck height), and changed how the attachable arms are connected for easier assembly.

2020 10 years later we still carry our 3 different Rattan finishes, and hundreds of sunbrella cushion fabrics to choose from. We increased the back height of our cushions 2” this year to give the perfect neck rest on any piece in our collection. We also made the decision this year to exclusively showcase Canadian suppliers in our showroom to keep lead times short for custom orders and maintain a reasonable price range for our clients. ORWW is always striving to create an outdoor space for our clients that they can be proud of, and enjoy for years to come.
